Add a role from a job description
Upload or paste the JD and let Giusim build the role profile.
Every score needs a role to score against, so this is the first thing you set up for a new search.
Create the role
1. Open Roles in the sidebar. You land on the Add a role from a job description form (the Open roles tab).
2. If you have more than one client, pick the client the role belongs to.
3. Upload the JD file (PDF, DOCX, TXT, or MD) or switch to paste mode and paste the full text.
4. Hit Extract & save role. Giusim reads the document and extracts the title, seniority, hard skills, and day-to-day responsibilities. This takes about 10 to 20 seconds, and a status line says so while it runs.
What you land on
The role page opens with two things: the candidate roster (empty until you score someone, with a Score a candidate button waiting) and the role context: domain, responsibilities, hard skills, and the raw JD.
Two fields deserve attention right away:
- Hiring manager: type the name of whoever runs the HM interview for this role and hit Save.
- Hiring manager intake: this captures the real bar in the manager's own words, from your kickoff call. Three prompts: someone he would hire again and why, an instant no in his words, and anything he said that is not in the JD. Fill it early and hit Save intake. It feeds every score, kit, and assessment for this role.
Deleting a role
The Delete role button sits on the role page. It cannot be undone, but reports of candidates you already scored are stored separately and stay in your Candidates list.
